In 2024 so many people are fed up with their jobs and economic situation. They are working for someone else and living paycheck to paycheck or slightly better. After more than 15 years in one
business (plus a few years in another at the same time, and a failed business thrown in there) I was no longer able
to run the physically intensive portions of my photography business. So I
began to wonder, “how can I use
my skills and knowledge to
start a new business?”
Over the last 24 years I have been dedicating myself to learning and
growing as person and as an entrepreneur. From my jobs in retail
(everything from a reset member to acting store manager) to self education online ... before that was even really a thing, to running and growing a local photography business. When I became sick in 2015 I was on the road
to a 6 figure income the next year.
At that moment, I needed to switch course. I took inventory of myself
and I realized that what I knew more than anything else was:
- The ability to find the right business that matches both interests and skills/knowledge
- How to create an authentic brand that aligns with a person’s morals and values
- How to clarify the target customer that is right for the business and willing to pay
...and In less than 1 year I turned my skills & Knowledge into a profitable Business
Starting up a business is not always the fasted way to make money. I can’t lie to you, it’s never easy either. What it can be is rewarding. The most rewarding part is when we see how it effects our why.
For me, my family is my why. They are the reason I take action, why I push on and why I strive to do better every day. Take a moment to close your eyes and think of the reason you really want to create your business? Who or what is your why?
